#1 I am not good enough

Duh. You haven’t actually made any work yet.

Or rather; you haven’t yet published some work; made it public and see what the reaction to the work is. You do not know how people will react. Great art takes on a presence/ significance of its own, outside or despite the artist. This could happen to you. (But you wouldn’t like it any better).

And besides; good artists grow over time, they are not created in an instance, judged eternally for their very first public work. Take a look at Andy Warhol’s early work. Or Murakami’s (it’s shown briefly in the art safari clips). Or the recognition for your work might increase/ grow over time, like it did for Richard Prince.

And what do you care what other people consider good? Who are they? (Seriously, who are they?) The only reason to make art would be to make it because you want to, you think it matters, you think it is good enough.
